Helms 20 Special Edition The Helms 20 SE is built for fishing. The Sharp entry and variable degree dead rise give the Helms 20 superior ride when the going gets rough. The variable degree dead rise and modern construction keep the draft a shallow 12". They also make the Helms 20 SE incredibly fuel efficient. So the choice is yours grouper or redfish or both? The Helms 20 SE is built with modern composite materials, many of which are pulled right out of the aviation industry. The honey comb cored decks are incredibly strong and durable. Delamination due to core bond failure so common in foam cored decks has been virtually eliminated. Water migration that causes rot in plywood and soaks foam is no more. The brushed gelcoat interior is virtually maintenance free. The fiberglass stringer and composite transom are rot free and, the interior voids are filled with closed cell foam. All this makes for one tough boat that you will be proud to own for years to come. While the Helms 20 SE is built like a battleship, it's layout is clean and simple. The recessed bow rail is perfectly placed out of the way but there when you need it. Everything on the gunnels is sang free. The bow cleat and light are pop up and the stern cleats run though hawse pipes. The classic notched transom keeps the motor in close and easy to fish around. While the self bailing deck evacuates any water. The deck layout is available with or without a casting platform. We also have several console and leaning post options available to customize the Helms 20 SE. The Helms 20 SE is available with a long list of optional equipment to further customize it.
